Power

It should come as no surprise that the Polaris GENERAL® side by side is known for its power. After all, Generals feature an astounding 999 cc four-stroke twin-cylinder engine. Let’s not forget about the payload capacity, which is a whopping 1,000 lbs in the bed alone. The 2” hitch receiver can handle up to 1,500 lbs. You’ll be able to tackle any project when you're equipped with this amount of power.

Polaris GENERAL® also features three drive modes so you can tailor your ride to the terrain you’re driving on. You’ll enjoy a standard two-wheel drive mode for when you’re hitting high speeds on dirt roads. The VersaTrac Turf mode is low torque all-wheel drive for optimal traction without causing damage to the turf. The On-Demand True All Wheel Drive mode features two different options. The default option is for 2WD but as soon as the rear tires slip, it switches to AWD. This level of versatility allows you to utilize the desired amount of power for the task at hand.

Handling

When you have this much power, you also need to have a good amount of control of your vehicle. Polaris UTVs are designed to provide smooth handling in every situation. Both beginner and veteran riders will feel confident using their Polaris GENERAL® to its full potential. This side by side features a Dual A-Arm suspension in both the front and the rear so you can ride over bumps and divots with ease.
